Events to mark Memorial Day

The first event will be held at 7:30 tonight at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., where Marine Corps League Antelope Valley Detachment 930 will host a service with retired Navy Capt. Tom Craft as keynote speaker. On Monday, a ceremony at Lancaster Cemetery, 111 E. Lancaster Blvd., will feature speaker Army Spc. Jasen Watts, a Highland High alumnus wounded in the Iraq war. A 10 a.m. service at Joshua Memorial Park, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., sponsored by the Lancaster American Legion Post 311 will feature retired Air Force Lt. Dick Rutan as its guest speaker. last_img
