No team would get on the board in the first.Toronto’s strong play would pay off early in the second. Rookie Natasha Athanasakos found the back of the net for the third time in two games to give the Blues the lead 1:08 into the period. The Varsity Blues would add another, as Taylor Trussler scored her first of the season just before the halfway mark. The Blues defence continued to shine, holding Ontario Tech to only five more shots in the period.Toronto would again lockdown the Ridgebacks offensive chances in the final frame. Albert made 17 saves in the Blues victory.
