NP Dominica contributes to post Erika recovery efforts

In order to accommodate the residents in their day to day running of these facilities, the diesel will be used to power generators used to provide electricity. The fuel was received by the Management Committee of the Petite Savanne Shelter.Later, that same day, NP also provided an assortment of food items to the residents of Dubique being housed at the Grand Bay Community Center. The presentation was done at a brief ceremony at that facility. NP’s Country Manager Heskeith Brumant also took the opportunity to visit the facility and spend time with the residents.Additionally, safety items; including caution tapes and traffic cones; were presented to the Office of Disaster Management (ODM) in Jimmit, to assist the Department in meeting its safety objectives. These items were received by Don Corriette, Disaster Coordinator of ODM who indicated that these items were timely in providing traffic diversion and alertness.According to Mr. Brumant, NP being a safety conscious company, and having regard for the well-being of motorists and pedestrians, provided these safety items and hopes that they will serve as precautionary and safety measures along the high risk and vulnerable areas.Meanwhile, the Extasy Band and Petite Savanne Resettlement Committee said they are extremely grateful for the support receive to host the relief concert last Saturday. “Mr. Brumant at National Petroleum-NP has made an invaluable contribution of diesel which was used to service the generators for the event and also to support the band practice sessions.
